Ventral Vagal State
There are three autonomic nervous system states: Ventral Vagal, Sympathetic, and Dorsal Vagal. Why is that important? We can only be open-minded, broad-minded, creative, patient, resilient, and good at problem solving in one of those states – the Ventral Vagal State. In the other states, those qualities are biologically unavailable to us.
